Above, a photo of a student’s notes. I was super-impressed at the number of kids who immediately realized it was easier to make sense of this diagram if they used color. Below is my photo of the same diagram.
Finally, I wanted to tie the mirror equation (1/f = 1/do + 1/di) to the ray tracing. So, we measured distances on the diagram and checked them with the equations. Below are the results. Not bad!
