Discovery training this afternoon: Today we had a training session where I refreshed my pole course rescue skills. The crab claws my colleagues wore to attach themselves to the pole course wires have a one-time use strap that takes up some of your fall.

I worked from the ground to facilitate about 6 rescues. My colleagues who don’t suffer from a debilitating fear of heights also worked from a pole about 10m in the air to get a fake victim down to safety.

Discovery is the amazing experiential ed program at Westminster and I’m a part time faculty member.
